2 October 2018. Omnipollo AON Release Party @ Gollem, Antwerp. Cheers to Anke & Pieter!
Pours cloudy black with a lasting, thin, unstable, dark beige head; little lacing. Intense aroma of soy sauce, beef stock, mocha, cinammon, praliné, kahlua, cookie dough, smoked peanut. Taste is medium malty sweet, cream, cookie dough & chocolate powder; light roasted bitter with a hint of spicy cinnamon & faint meaty bacon-like umami edge, already warming up. Dryish, toasty finish, bit herbal & peppery hoppy , lingering malty chocolate & coffee, bit smoky, warming liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Didn't get the white chocolate. Plain good in Omnipollo country but still way better than any other average beer.

Bottle. Almost pitch black body, thick light brown head. Very much oily (buttery?), maybe some fruity dark malt, raisiny perhaps buried underneath, alcohol bursting through. Actually, smells like strangely more like a "regular imperial stout" than any other Omnipollo I've had recently. Smooth, sweetish oily taste, silky, charred dark malts bordering on dark chocolate, or vice-versa, absolutely slathered in cheap olive oil... Ending dry in some alcohol. Er... this one doesn't work either that much. As with the Bacon whatever, almost a gifted score.

Fra flaske på Agenturet. Delt med Rune. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte. Pent! Aroma av lakris og mørke plommer. Smaken vanilje og sjokolade. Alkoholen farlig godt kamuflert. Oljeaktig munnfølelse.

Bottle @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren, Aarhus. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, nuts, mushrooms and malt, with touches of yeast and malt. Bitter, roasty flavour with seeetish notes of fruit, malt and chocolate and touches of coffee and dried fruit. Estery and roasty aftertaste with fruity and malty hints. Warming alcohol presence. Very nice.
