Draft to a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Only my second imperial pilsner. Pours a light cloudy amber with small white head. Aroma has a sharp citric, yeast, sweet bready malts, spruce. Sweet malt taste with some decent hopping. Citrus, pine, some spruce, semi-drying in finish. Tastier than I was expecting.

Draught, half pint. @Bilbao Bizkaia Beer 2021, Bilbao (Spain). 10/10/2021 [#4.304 Global - #111 Scotland - #6 71 Brewing] Clear amber with a thick white head. Aroma: citrus zest, spiced malts and a fresh hoppy touch. Taste: orange jam, earthy straw and plenty of spiced malts. Strong malty and alcohol finish. Next one please!

Clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma starts with lots of pale malt sweetness before light fruity, floral hop notes come through. Taste is the same but the bitterness stays quite low and rounded. Sweet finish.

440ml can from Sainsbury's. Clear amber with a small off white head. Sweet malt and pine aroma. Flavour is heavy on the pine hop with some cloying sweetness to balance it out

Clearly, lively amber beer with a thick white head. Dry, fresh hoppy smell with just a little citrus zest. Flavour has a good malt base to it, a touch of citrus again, a little grassy hop, some pine. Like a halfway house between a pilsner and an impy IPA which isn't something you expect to work without the pilsner qualities being overpowered but they've kinda nailed this. Does taste its strength though so it's not one to guzzle.

Can sample thanks to the brewery. Appearance - golden orange with a snow white head. Nose - boiled vegetables, light dishcloth. Taste - light caramel, brown bread. Citrus on the end. Palate - close to medium bodied. Good texture but still a good lager bitterness on the finish. Overall - yes, good. The palate is definitely a lot more exciting than the nose.

Can from the 71 Brewing Online shop. Deep amber pour with a white head. Nose is lemon marmalade, lime, peach, apricot. Taste is bitter citrus, fresh bread, hops, yellow melon, lime, peach. Spicy hoppy finish.

YG 270620. Deep golden-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavor is fruit, malt, hop, sugar, alcohol, citrus, caramel. Nice beer.

Can. A clear dark golden beer with a small white head. Piney, resiny and lightly citrusy aroma with bread and caramel from the malts. Some alcohol. It's quite sweet in the mouth, with flavors of pine cones and resin, with pleasant makes in the back. Full body and a soft carbonation. Long mostly fruity finish. A decent first meet with this brewery. 200627
