Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrels. Deep ebony hue with a beautiful mahogany head, an aroma of fresh-baked bread, toffee, and espresso mingling with the woody vanilla notes of Bourbon whiskey and the rich roasted flavors wrapped with Bourbon.

Black color, light tan head, minimal duration and nice lacing. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, some coffee beans and slightly bourbon notes. Flavor is roasted, licorice, coffee taste, chocolate and bourbon in the final with a medium to light body.

Bottle. Nose of caramel, butter, chocolate. Sweet and tart, buttery, vanilla. The tartness is nice but too much diacetyl going on to be enjoyable. Not up to par.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours black with a warm, reddish hue and a small light brown head. Very sweet and intense Bourbon aroma. Medium body, sweet roast, swet licorice, tons of vanilla from the Bourbon. And because of the strength no real alcohol burn. Extremely easygoing and drinkable. 201115

Bouteille: Literally black, big creamy tanned head; moderate to solid nose of vanilla and roasted malt plus bitter chocolate and traces of chocolate cakes; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and very soft; vanilla, wood, chocolate and caramel in the smooth finish. A gorgeous liquid chocolate cake…
