Growler from LCB. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, sweet toffee, hint of dark fruit. Very nice balance to this and more of a flavour profile than your average milk stout with light tangy dark berries, roast, smoke/wood, coffee, toffee. Mid bodied, fine carb. Very good.

Growler fill from Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee and toffee. Taste is ashy charcoal and chocolate. Roasty finish.

Growler thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a beige head. Nose - Bourbon creams and sweet chocolate cereal. Taste - chocolate cereal and chocolate cake. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture and lightly roasty finish. Overall - good stuff.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Low, fawn-coloured body, clingy lacing, black in the glass. Inviting aromas of earthy malts, nicely roasted. Well blended taste profile of nutty chocolate, oatmeal, and liquorice, hints of dark berries as well. Roasted malty tail with a backdrop of coffee. Fine depth. Interesting and unusual brew. Svart. Lysebrunt filmskum. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken røstet malt & vanilje. Tørr avslutning. Kakao. Tegn til bitterhet.

Keg at Blind Tiger, Peterborough. Pours dark brown towards black with a beige cap. Aroma: sweet malts, coffee & sour cream, berries. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, coffee, berries, light sour. Medium body with low carbonation.

Can at Candid, Stafford – shared with Black Haddock. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is mainly chocolate, with oaty traces. A bit watery in texture, but the flavour profile makes up for it. A whole load of liquorice, roast malts, vanilla and a little chocolate. “Very stouty” according to my notes ! Hides its strength well too.

Panda at home thanks to SHIG. A clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, fruit and nut, woodland berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, jammy fruits, earthy chocolate, fruit and nut, strawberry, powdered milk chocoalte. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation. Nice.
