In a brewery far, far away... Well actually right here, on the 4th of May, we put together this simple but true to it's style Oatmeal Stout. Full of easy drinking coffee, chocolate, and roasty malt notes, it's smooth and creamy, and gets you... well you get it...

15/1/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, milk chocolate, light roasted coffee, toffee, milk solids, touch of ash. Medium plus sweetness, very light bitterness. Medium body, smooth, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Nicely drinkable sweet stout, good all round.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 10/01/21. Black with a well presented tan covering that stays for the show. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate, dried fruits, brown bread. Taste comprises dark malts, toffee, caramel, cocoa sprinkle, dried fruits, faint red berry skins. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent well rounded stout.

Can from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Atoms of instant coffee and sour milk. Underlying berries. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. Pours cola brown. Initial medium coffee-berry sourness with a sweet streak. Underlying bitterness then seeps through, albeit the sour berries are what follows through. Sugary tail-end. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Good stuff. Ramps up the sugary creamy coffee when it gets going. Just not overly keen on the sour milk aroma.
