EIGHT CLOUDS is the second beer we’ve created to celebrate a Grape & Grain birthday. This year we’ve turned up the volume; expect the same fresh juice hit but bigger (literally, sliding in at 440ml) and finishing with an even creamier mouthfeel. Showcasing a double dry hop of all NZ hops - Motueka, Taiheke and Waimea.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 7.5

Aromas of vanilla biscuit, pine needles and some tropical fruit. Passionfruit mixes with that pine taste, and there's a nice creamy palate. You can feel the alcohol at the back of the throat, but it's pretty smooth before then.

Can. Gold, slightly hazy. A good cm of fluffy white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of berries tropical bubblegum, oranges, grass, pine, crackers. A bit more than medium bodied. Starts off gently fruity with oranges, grass, grapes and berries. Then the finish really rushes up: some overt alcohol mixed with menthol at a fairly bitter end. Perhaps as it warms a little that's less so. Can't say it seemed creamy, but heh. Pretty good.
