Za příjemným, přirozeně působícím řízem se rozvíjí vyvážená jemně karamelová chuť, získanou z praženého karamelového a bavorského sladu.V tomto pivu objevíte také jemnou chmelovou hořkost s kávovým závěrem.

On tap at Hops Beer Bar, Budapest. Pours dark brown, beige head. Caramel, bready, chocolate, some vanilla, roasted, sugary. Quite sweet. Bit empty for my taste.

Bottle shared with J at catsitter tasting @ Maakun’s. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet malts, roasted grain, toffee, dusty cardboard. Medium sweet and bitter. Under medium body, low carbonation. Bit dry feel. --- Beer merged from original tick of Premium Dark on 18 Dec 2017 at 15:04 - Score: 6. Original review text: 2.9

Bottle as Czech Royal Beer Dark at Sheridan’s Irish pub in Zagreb. Tasted during filming of "Garage Beer", a documentary by a Croatian filmmaker Martina Jurić. Shared with Marko. Thanks Adrian for the beer! Black with ocher tint, cola color. Small off-white head. Caramel aroma. Sugary and watery. Soft carbonation, shallow, lasting sugary finish. Yuk.

Barwa brunatna, piana gęsta, drobnopęcherzykowa, powoli opada pozostawiając ładną koronkę na szkle. W aromacie słodka kawa, w smaku słodzona kawa, przyjemne nuty słodow palonych.

Bottle shared at tasting. Thanks Chuwy! Clean and crisp nose with some grass and peppery aromas and some dark herbal notes. Average carbonation and sweet on the palate. Candied sugar and caramel. Finish has a peppery, dry quality that lingers. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Black on 30 Jan 2016 at 19:57 - Score: 5. Original review text: Thanks Chuwy. Great nose....too sweet

Pours dark with a small head. Aroma is quite clean, very Czech-like. Sweet caramel in the nose and also in the taste. Weak body, sweet caramel in the taste, bit of hops, not much of anything though. Drying finish, nicely lingering.

Butelka 0.5l (23.02.2016). Lekkie delikatnie wodniste, pijalne, całkiem fajne w odbiorze.

Bottled (backlog, thanks Kim N!). Pretty much deep coppery brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is toasted malts, some caramel, mild toffee, ripe fruits as well as some slight syrupy notes. Flavour is very similar, but totally lacks the syrupy side of it. Balanced, and quite pleasant, although a bit on the sweeter side.

Czech Beer Royal Black, 11.99°, 4.8%. Thanks for this! Adequate appearance, dark brown/red, medium creamy tan head. Mild caramel aroma, dry, raisins, cardboard... the taste is even worse, light, cardboardy primarily and sweet. A perfect example of how generic/ordinary/bad Czech dark beers can be.

From tap at U Jozina in Krakow 27.09.14. Very dark brown. Foamy beige head and lacing. Aroma of liquorice, coffee, caramel and roasted malt. Dark chocolate and berries in taste. Well balanced with good drinkability.
