Dark ruby colour, medium-sized beige head and lace. Wet wood, smoke in the nose. Light-bodied. Malts with some caramel, smoked ham, overall smokeyness, light bitterness. Quite good.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany colour, rich head. Aroma of charcuterie smoke. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready malt, caramel and smoked ham. Fairly low bitterness. All the flavours of Schlenkerla are there, but the harmony are drinkability is not there.
