Cask pint, hand-pulled in the New Inn, Newport, Shropshire on 11th January 2024. Say what you want to about Joules beers but their pubs are lovely. Always clean, tidy and olde worlde. Anyway this beer came a clean and clear golden colour with a neat, tight snow white head that stayed and gave off some good lacing. Weak fruity aroma and taste, light bitterness and an even lighter malty sweetness. OK, it's OK.

Cask @ Cock Hotel, Wellington. Replacement beer for Lakota, which was sour and off. This tasted sour and off. Happy to try again at a different pub.

Clear, pale gold with a frothy/creamy white head and a lovely light malt and fruit aroma. Manages to be both zesty and biscuit malty, with a slight graininess to the mouthfeel, a semi-sweet fruit flavour flows into a dry, slightly bitter finish

Cask at Leopard, Nantwich (not yet listed in RateBeer). Pours a chrome yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is grassy with traces of chestnuts and corn. In the mouth the texture is watery, with sweetmalt being the major flavour. There is also some hoppiness, plus butterscotch and scone dough undertones. There is slight bitterness in the finish. A generic style of beer, but quite well done.

Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn at Cross Keys (Joules). Misty golden body filmy layer leaving rings of lace down the glass. Moderate grassy hops on the nose, citric hints. Taste of bread and lemony hops. A vague piney touch to the ending. Fair enough. (Chester 26.01.2020).

27/11/2019. Cask at the Glebe, Stoke-on-Trent. Pours clear dark gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, hops, citrus and straw. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Light body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Lacked depth but ok for what it is.
