From wooden cask, third shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Wood Bar. Naked surface, poor lacing, cloudy golden body. Moderate smell of rhubarb, dry. Taste of mild rhubarb added by yeasty fruitiness. Rather dry bittersweet finish. Quite refreshing and fine bodied.(2nd day of the festival, 23.01.2020).

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazed, pale gold. Slim, dense, lasting, white head. This is brewed using Orval yeast, and it’s very apparent. Fruity brett. Rhubarb. Candied peel. Soft, gingery spice. Touch of vanilla. Taste has spicy, bretty sweetness. A little dry. Some leafy bitterness. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Bretty and fruity bitter finish. Holy shit, this brewer is so frustrating. You can get a sink pour one beer, and then get something like this, which is basically a pumped up, fruity and tart version of Orval!

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Golden-amber with a thin head. It has a strong rhubarb influence and is smoothish with an ice-cream sweetness to it. Has a more regular fruity nose.
Wow. All the rhubarb!
