Can from the Brass Castle online shop. Pours murky dark red-brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, not really getting the maple syrup. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

440ml can via Brass Castle shop. Dark brown with virtually no head. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate, flavour pretty much the same. A bit thinner than I expected

Dark beer, head soon dissipates to very little. Smell is quite strong with toasty malt, flavour too along with dark chocolate and a creamy feel to it as well. Not the most complex dessert stout but it's rich and tasty and very drinkable.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 18th October 2019. Impenetrably black with pale tan foam and virtually no lacing. Intense cherry fruits and roasty malts in aroma. Rich and intense plum and cherry in-mouth with bitter chocolate roast malt. Bitter chocolate malt finish. Full-bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Utterly exquisite.
