God jul!

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Stable beige head to a next-to-clear ruby-dark brown body, filmy layer. Moderate smell of toffee and earthy malts. Toffee and caramel flavours, doughy. The oaky part is well hidden. Ends sweet and doughy. Soft on the swallow. Fair enough. (Tromsø 01.01.2020).

Dyp rødbrun. Lavt mokkafarget skum som blir film. Litt lacing. Karamellaroma. Smaken mest karamell. Kanskje et lite trepreg. Litt syrlighet. I avslutningen.

Can. Shared by bergstaden. An almost clear deep chestnut colored beer with a small beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, bread, some piney hops and a faint alcohol hint and some vegetal notes. It's full-bodied and a bit hard on the palate, at least not smooth, with malty flavors of bread and caramel running the show. Some sweetness, balanced by the hops, and a very vague note of oak in the flavor. Long finish with a warming touch. A decent bock, but a bit mediocre, and the barrels aren't doing much. 190929
