Collab with Ampersand brew from Norfolk, this Espresso gelato pale is another unique piece in the Gelato series from ORA Brewing.
"Affogato" is an Italian coffee-based dessert. It usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato topped or "drowned" with a shot of hot espresso.
This gelato pale is dessert in a glass: using Ugandan coffee beans hand-roasted by Casa Espresso (Yorkshire), this pale is brewed with lactose, flaked and golden naked oats.
Rwenzori beans give a hint of strawberries & peach, which combined with the creamy notes makes it a light-bodied beer designed to lift your spirits and fire up your senses.

Half-pint, keg, at Castle Tap. Shared with Finn. Misty yellow-gold body. Spotty lacing, filmy layer. Coffee-fruity aromas. Taste of coffee, pale malts and mid-dry fruity hops. Fair enough. (Reading 20.10.2019).

On tap at The Made Inn Ashford Hazy pale gold colour lasting white head. Coffee aroma. Coffee flavour. not a lot of vanilla. then a lemon sherbet finish. Some sourness. like a citrus coffee beer. not for me.
