Bottle courtesy of our visitors and Isle of Harris brewery and restaurant owners Nick, Anna, Charlie and Sarah. Had this shared with Nick Friday 3rd January 2025 after we cooked a big Thai meal and listening to 6Music. Hazy glowing mid gold with a sticky white head. Nice spritziness on the nose, clean but also very Belgian nose with a touch of spice, some crossover in the mouth, easy drinking for the abv. Nice beer.

On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen. It's an unclear orange-golden colored beer topped by an off-white head. Rather fruity aroma, with a touch of peppery spice and some pleasant maltyness. Dried apricot and a hint of caramel, with some flowery hints. It's dry, yet with a residual sweetness, nicely carbonated and with a suitable bitterness. Lightly sweet flavor, mostly fruity-sweet though, with grass, caramel hints, some flower and pepper notes, pale malts and pale dried fruits. Medium length finish. A pleasant one indeed, with that typical Belgian kind of aroma and flavor profile that are hard to dissect. 190608

Bottle. Unclear golden body with a fine, big, dense white head. Aroma of mild malt, hint of toffee, pleasant generic fruitiness and typical fruity Belgium yeast. Taste is sweet, smooth malt, toffee, hint of honey, some mature fruit, moderate bitterness, hint of esters, flowers and Belgium yeast. Fine body and same complex aftertaste. This is the kind of Belgium beer that demands great craftsmanship, it’s all about balance. Lots of sweetness, still it doesn’t feel sticky or unpleasant, lots of subdue aromas and flavors where noting stands out and rather difficult to describe, it just tastes nice without cheap tricks and overdoing stuff. The Glazen Toren signature is distinct. Well made.

0,7 flaske, og vi nærmer oss avslutningen på en fin RBHD-kveld hos seremonimester Melberg: lett uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Urter, furunål, melkesjokolade, stikkelsbær og hint av jordbær. Solide saker med god fylde og friskhet. Har heldigvis en flaske i kjelleren, den skal ikke bli gammel.

Shared 750 ml bottle. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of dust and hints of toffee, nothing \"Belgian\" there. The flavour has notes of Belgian ale yeast and white kandij sugar (but is not very sweet), fairly distinct herbal and earthy hops. Not as great as I hoped.

Bottle shared at RB/HD at Tau 25.07.19. Pale nut colour. Aroma and taste of nuts, pale malt, sweet malt and fruits. Low carbonation.
