A black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of mid sweet strong dark malt, toffee, molasses. Taste of sweet strong dark malt, molasse, liquorice.

Draft at Mommeriete. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, subtle smoke. Taste: Smooth, bit creamy mouthfeel. Earthy, dark roasted malt, molasses, some sweetness, subtle smoke. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate floral hopbitterness. Over moderate sweet. Nice one.

From tap at Mommeriete Brouwerij. Nicely roasty aroma with ash, smoke, roasted malt, chocolate. Chalky and bitter, some sweetness. Body could be more full. Good stuff, quite to my liking.

Op vakantie geprobeerd met LiekevdV bij de brouwerij. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur met tonen van rook en turf. De smaak is gebrand, bitter en wat rokerig met tonen van chocolade.

Bottle, gift from the brewers. Roast, hints of coffee and raisin in the shy aroma. Full bodied, thick on the tongue. Very low on carbon. Malty sweet flavor with roast, coffee, laurel and raisin. Slightly alcoholic. Very young, but showing a lot of promise. Needs time to fully develop.
