23/II/19 - 25cl bottle @ 1st Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (formerly known as Belgian Ratebeer Gathering), BB: n/a - (2019-295) Thanks to kermis for sharing the mead!
Pretty cloudy purple red mead, no head. Aroma: lots of diacetyl, super buttery, cherry flavoured yoghurt, not very good. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sugary start, lots of diacetyl happening again, sugary, honey, cherry flavoured yoghurt, butter. Aftertaste: more diacetyl, sugary, more cherry flavoured yoghurt. One dimensional cherry flavoured diacetyl bomb.

Bottle shared at Belgian Winter Gathering ‘19. Fairly hazy purple with no head. Aroma of cherry and floral honey. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet. Light full bodied with very soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at THT. Clear deep ruby with a small ring of bubbles. Plenty of honey, sweet cherries, blackberries, creamy flowery honey, soft cinnamon, dried fruits, black currants. Quite sweet but not overpowering, very light tart and bitter. Almost full bodied with no carbonation. Not boozy at all.

Tht august. Hazy dark red, massive cherry, cinnamon, broad floral honey aroma. Massive sweet and light bitter. Full body and low carbonation. Oily and sticky feel. Amazing stuff. / Notes from a july 2018 proto-version: “Kwartje mede commercial version”, bottle. Unclear ruby red. Sweet honey, blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, red fruit, sangria, very fruity and fresh feel too it. Light hazlenuts, light tannins, red grape peels. Big but not crazy sweet, moderate bitter. Full body, very supple and lean and very very tasty! / Notes from first version: Clear red with no head. Big sweet red fruit and honey, some dry tannins. Over medium sweet and light bitter. Very smooth velvety feel. Medium body and soft carbonation. Well done guys! 8/4/8/4/18
