Canned (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is earth, some floral and mild yeasty tones. Flavour is floral, earthy, mild spruce, some wooden tones as well as some yeast. Old dusty wood in the aftertaste.

Grumsete oransje farge med hvitt kremaktig skum. Lukter humle og gjær. Malt, gjær, grapefrukt i smak. September 2020

Can. Unclear golden body under a dense, creamy white head. Aroma of ripe fruit and yeast. Taste has malt, ripe fruit but there is also some kind of harsh yeast/kveik that feels unfresh. Still withing the best before date but probably off as this far from how other describes this beer. As the brewery is out of business, I will never have the opportunity to know how it’s supposed to taste like.

ABV: 6.0%. Murky matt medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat - oat, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, wheat - oat, fruity malt, fruity hops, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20200125]

Murky amber colour, medium-sized off-white head. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Medium-bodied. Fruity, sweetish, papery flavour. Doesn't feel so fresh.

Can. The colour is hazy dark orange with an off-white head. Aroma of mango, pineapple, grass and grapefruit. Flavour of mango, grapefruit, peaches, grass, flowers and a little hop burn in the end. Has a slick and a little silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. Pretty fruity and not far from a NEIPA.

I discovered this 330 ml can of Heksekunst in Bergen at a close-by Vinmonopolet in Bergen. I’m familiar with the brewer, know nothing on the brew or the style. The tab is popped and I tilt into a tall bar glass. The delivery is a fully murky dark gold and an impressive near-white head that sticks nicely to the glass. An interesting scent, meadow, pine, some hops and grapefruit. The taste brings citrus, pine, a hint of pineapple sweetness and a fine bitterness that may be the best attribute. Seems much like an IPA in my limited knowledge.

Orange, hazy with a medium washing foam white head. Aroma of hops, malt and grass. Light bitter with a soft hops Finnish.

KYGG 060419. Golden-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is kveik, yeast. Flavor is dry, kveik, yeast, malt, pine, grapefruit, grass, pineapple. Interesting beer.

Før NEIPA-tiden ville et utseende som dette (på grensen til gjørmete, skittent brungult) bli ansett som mangelfulle bryggerferdigheter, selv om skummet er upåklagelig tett. Uansett ser det uappetittelig ut, så derfor bare en 2'er på utseende. Furunål, granskudd, einer, kveik, fuktig barskog og noe urteaktig i aroma og smak. Fin munnfylde. Saftig, med fin bitterhet i ettersmaken, og ettersmaken er så absolutt til stede. Men utseendet skjemmer virkelig. 0,33 boks fra det statllige helsekostutsalg på Kilden, Stavanger.
