half-pint, draught, 7.0 % abv, at the brewpub, hazy golden body. Fair white head, solid lacework. Spiced fruity nose, mid-sweet. Peaches, almond, yeast and caramel to the flavour character. Semi-sweet fruity ending with integrated alcohol. Soft in the mouth. Fine bodied. Pleasing (Oslo 14.03.2016).

Two pints on tap at the brewpub in friendly company with Knut Albert. Dark amber body under a filmy layer. Rounded aroma of tart fruits. Slightly candy sweet flavour supported by caramel malts and a brush of yeast. Moderate bitter ending. Typical house profile, but untypical belgian brew. OK, but does not make a lasting impression (15.05.2007).

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden, almost copper, beer with a nice-looking carbonation and a small, diminishing, off-white head. The typical house character was present here as well, with hops, malt, some fruityness, and hints of pine and metal. Fruity, hoppy and malty flavor with some hints of metal and spicy hops. Medium body and a hoppy and bitter finish. A quaffable beer, so I had another one. I had a little sniff when I got the first pint from the barmaid, and my first though was that this was a blond ale of the English style, not a Belgian one. The tasting confirmed this impression, but it was a quite nice beer anyhow. (070321)
