330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet in Larvik. A stable beige head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Very dark body with a deep ruby glint. Dark grainy malts on the nose, lightly roasted. Dark chocolate flavours, hints of ash and dark fruits. Roasted bitter ending. Fine depth. Pretty okay. (Hotel room, Larvik 02.12.2018).

Boks fra Vinmonopolet Larvik. Drukket i Tyrihansveien. Svart. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Smaken mest lakris. Litt sjokolade. Tørr kakao i ettersmaken. Veldig tørr avslutning.

09.11.2018, 0,33l can @ home:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, soil, weeds, bark, sour-ish roasted grain, minerals, toast, dusty spices, fruit stones, burnt coffee, burnt rye bread, hay, alcohol. Taste is harsh mineraly, weeds, bark, soil, sour-ish roasted grain, burnt toast, grass, paper, alcohol, minerals, fruit stones, sawdust, ashes. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh sour-ish burnt mouthfeel. Meh!

A really nice and pleasant brown ale. Fine dark brown color with a fine beige head. Good lacing. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Mellow fine carbonation level. Pleasant and easy to drink. Balanced sweetness. Bready, some roast, chocolate, mild chocolate and mild fruity flavor. Nice one.
