Flaske fra Meny Stavern. #098. Drukket i Tyrihansveien. Gyldengul. Medium høyt skum som daler sakte. Tynn teppelacing. Aroma av sitron & krydder. Smaken som aromaen. Undertone av fjøs. Vel mye kullsyre.

Bottle. It pours a quite clear body, except for shaken up dregs, golden in color and with a big off-white head. Some curtains spotted. The aroma is a bit weak, but pleasant. Saison-style fruityness and yeast notes, some peppery hints and a light malty touch of bread. Even a faint caramel scent. It's quite effervescent, medium bodied and mostly on the dry side. Bready malts, hints of caramel, generic fruityness and some yeast and spiced notes in the flavor. Decent bitterness too. The finish is a bit more on the bakers yeast side than I prefer, but it's the fruity, saison-ish flavors that dominates. It leaves a bit weird feeling on the palate after the swallow. Sort of sticky, but more like clay or toffee, not like anything sugary. Fortunately it goes away after just a couple of seconds. Overall, saisons are best when stronger, more full-bodied, or at least drier than this one, but it's a decent and easy drinkable beer anyway. 181030

500 ml bottle, batch #124, from Helgø Meny Maxi, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy straw colour, huge white head. Grassy aroma, some spicy saison yeast. Dry flavour, some citrus / lemons, still grassy and too yeasty. Won't buy again.

Hazed golden color with a fine white head. Good lacing. Looks fine and inviting. Ok intensity in the aroma. Moderate sweet and a mild acidity. Semi dry and a decent lasting tail. Mild citric, fruity, malty, floral and some yeast in the flavor.

Flasle kjøpt på Gulating Tromsø. Aroma sitron, humle, gress, tropisk frukt. Utseende uklar orange/gylden med mye offwhite skum. Smak tropisk frukt, sitrus, humle. En frisk og god saison, kanskje litt mye kullsyre, endel bitter i avslutningen. En av de bedre ---

500 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a big, fluffy off-white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet pale malt, fruity bitter, a bit floral harsh and spicy. Medium body and a bit more bitter in aftertaste. Decent for a 4,7% abv Saison without bringing anything memorable to the scene.

Flaske fra Det gode brygg, Sandnes, hjemme: uklar mørk gylden med flott skum som varer. Krydret aroma med høy og urter. Tørr, lett besk smak hvor krydder, pepper, stall og høy gir et godt farmhouse/saison-preg. Tørr og god bitterhet i ettersmaken.
