375ml dark green bottle, as No 619, 7.2 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A nicely, stable fawn-coloured head to pitch black body. Clingy lacing on the glass. Inviting smell of mid-sweet malts and dark fruits. Well blended taste of dark berries, dark fruits and dark malts on a backbone of mid-sweet molasses. Ends malt-fruity. Mouth filling and fine depth. Post-Yuletide enjoyment on a Saturday afternoon. Very nice. (Tromsø 05.01.2019).

Bottle thanks to Ken at BD Castlegate. It pours murky brown with a decent tan head. The aroma is musty, tangy, apple skin, toasted brown sugar, meaty, smoked bacon, frazzles and earth. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, wood, leather, peppery spice, earthy roast, thin, coffee roast, spice, roasted malt and dull wood with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice aroma, but it is a hit thin.

Small sample from bottle, as Bøgedal Jul #1, from Vinmonopolet, I did not note the batch number. ABV was 5.9%. Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour of mild coffee, chocolate, mild spices and dried fruits. I served this as a the first beer of a Yule beer tasting, the participants were very happy
