Bottled (from Vinmonopolet@AIH128). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is dried fruits, raisins, mild bready tones, some yeast and a bit of alcohol. Flavour is fruity, raisins, mild alcohol with some toasted tones. Mild bananaish tones as it warms up.

Bottled 330ml (AIH128, vintage 2018)
Sweetish toffee and alcohol in the nose, a bit bready. Murky amber colour, small off-white head. Medium-bodied. Sweetish toffeish barley wine, light alcohol and fruityness. Simple not very exiciting but ok.

Well stored bottle. Unclear dark golden body under a small but dense beige head. Aroma has malt and dry fruit. Taste is smooth, sweet malty, dry fruit, caramel and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with warming alcohol. Not very complex really but well made and really tasty and pleasant. Lot better than expected.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod. Has a deep mahogany colour with a small beige head. Aroma of walnuts, creme brulee, rowanberries, liqueur and some leather. Flavour of caramel, alcohol, liqueur, bread, brown sugar and leather. Has a soft mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Rich and sweet. Need some time in the cellar. A little unbalanced now but has potential to become a really good barley wine in the future.

Shared bottle at annual yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 07.12.18 and 08.12.18. Cloudy amber. Aroma and taste of dried fruits and port. A bit too sweet

Amber, hazy with a minimal off white head. A sweet malt aroma with some wooden barrels, fruit and spices notes. Sweet with a fruit and woodish barrels Finnish.

330ml bottle, #197, from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Unclear orange-brown body. Almond and dried fruity nose, promising. Rather sweet taste with almond up front, hints of bread and dried fruits. Drying ending, long-lived. Fine depth. Fairly well integrated alcohol. Decent sipper on a Christmas eve, quite sweet in the long run.

01.12.2018, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, raisins, caramel malts, fruit stones, almonds, grass, dark sugar, minerals, alcohol. Taste is sweet grainy, dark sugar, dried dark fruits, minerals, fruit stones, caramel malts, alcohol, grain, hay, nuts. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet grainy mouthfeel. Fair enough, needs to age for a few years...
