On tap at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - opaque black with a thin fawn head. Nose - massive coffee and faint creamy chocolate. Taste - total coffee domination. Not so much on the chocolate or caramel side. Palate - medium bodied. Rich, sweet and roasty. Overall - good, but very one dimensional.

Cask @ Free Trade Inn, Newcastle [020518]
Pitch black, big tan bubbles, no head
Aroma - Big roasted coffee
Taste of rich dark sweet malts, dark chocolate, bitterness from coffee roast, lots of coffee
Palate - Medium body, smooth, fairly bitter. Finish as main flavour, coffee roast linger
Overall - Not keen on coffee beers usually but this had a good dark malty backbone

Taster from cask at Cafe Beermoth, thanks to Manuella for the drink. A low beige head over a jet black body. Fair lacing on the glass. Inviting aroma of dark malts with a coffee touch. Well blanced taste of chocolate and coffee. Rounded, nicely roasted malty finish. Medium bodied. Smooth and nice. (Manchester 06.05.2018).

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Near black with a frothy off-white head. It's light with its coffee in its nose, but has a stated coffee taste. It's strength is evident within its full body, but much less so in its taste.
