330 ml bottle, vintage 2017, batch 1789 A, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%, 30 IBU. Nearly black colour, large to moderate tan head. Vinous aroma, notes of oak, raisins and other dark dried fruits, also notes of roast malts, chocolate and smoke. Roasty and rich flavour, moderately sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate hops.

Big light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, salty licorice, grass, dark sugar, minerals, bark, smoked red peppers, toast, sour coffee. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, weeds, sour-ish roasted grain, sour grass, dark malts, burnt licorice, bark, bloodlike minerals, anise, sour coffee, shed. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my cup of tea...
