Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. A black beer with a small dense light tan head. Roasted malts, coffee notes, chocolate, dried fruits, some ginger and cardamom in the aroma. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied, lightly warming, sticky sweet and with a good bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, licorice, dark sugar and some ginger and cardamom. Some burnt rubber hints. Lasting lightly spiced finish. Sure not a bad one, but it lacks some on complexity. 170604
