Dark brown, no head. Has a nice toasty nose, but doesn't seem like a 12% imperial stout. There's a good quality toasted, chocolate note on the palate. Medium dry, some bitterness, toasty. There's a fair bit of hop, which lends it a different sort of balance. I'm okay with that, but I certainly prefer more richness.

500ml (thx, Brian!) @ Salesforce. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, inky, some light sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, very bitter, a bit smoky. Overall: old style IS, very roasty with some sweetness.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled 2023). Very dark brown with small light beige head. Dark fruits, feint chocolate, just a hint of coffee. Okay.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has toasted malt, earthy hops, and bready notes. Flavour has toasted malt, bready notes, caramel, and earthy hops. The body is pretty light, and there's a not much complexity. It almost comes across more like a hoppy, sweet dunkel/schwarzbier than an imperial stout. Good, but far from a complex or refined imperial stout.

On tap at Bryggerifestivalen. A very dark brown beer with a minimalistic off-white to beige head. Gentle aroma, even the alcohol, with roasted malts, caramel and some brown sugar. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, with a light carbonation. Some bitterness. Not too sweet flavor with roasted malts, caramel and some brown sugar. Alcohol notes and a vague spiced touch. Medium length finish. A bit gentle all the way, but quite nice anyway. 240801
