Appearance: Deep dark almost black color with a beige head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Coffee, dark malt and mild roasted.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, some chocolate and mild roasted.
Overall impression: Quite tasty stout.

On tap at the brewpub. A dark reddish brown beer, looking crystal clear, and topped by an off-white to light beige head. Heavily roasted coffee dominates both aroma and flavor, making it a bit one dimensional, but it’s sure nice anyway. Dark chocolate and some caramel blends in. Some roasted kind of bitterness too. Medium body and pleasant carbonation. Lasting roasted coffee-ish finish. Pretty nice this one, although lacking depth. 140624

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel and a hint of roastiness. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long roasted, chocolate and coffee finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
