Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden, as "Vibrant Forest Netherworld Imperial Red IPA". Aroma is resinous hops with caramel - almost toffee- malt, pine resin, ripe fruits, orange marmalade. Flavour is fairly sweet with a medium bitterness. Body is above medium with a slightly sticky feel. Nicely resinous and malty IIPA with a robust bittersweet flavour, tasty.

Fat Chapter Växjö 9,3% varianten. Mörkröd färg. Doftar lite katt???? ja inte ovanligt i öl. Betyder dock inget om smaken. Ok då Tungt druvig i munnen. Rejäl efterbeska . I jämförelse med andra öl riktigt god . Men i jämförelse med andra imperial ipa ja åd kommer den rejält efter. Väl tung .

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, consumed at home after tidy up Sunday at the end of Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Sunday 26th February 2017 Pours hazy reddy amber with a mid sized off white head. Some pine on the nose, resiny in the mouth, solid bitterness, hoppy burps aplenty. It’s a big beer but drinks easier than I expected, lovely beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

25th January 2017
Hazy deep amber beer, bubbly cream colour head. Palate is smooth with modest carbonation. Light malts, thin cream with a little caramel - toffee, mildly bitter. Touch of tangy apple. Mild floralness. Ripe orange. Light finish. It’s a little awkward and would like a lot more hops. Ultimately, not too bad.

Somewhat murky amber - brown beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, very modest fine carbonation. Caramel malts, not that sweet. Hop spice. Ripe orange and bitterish marmalade. Light semi dry finish. Plenty going on here but hamstrung by a palate that is near lifeless.

9.7% Imperial Red IPA Special Edition. Bottle from Bitter Virtue Southampton and drunk at home. Deep dark ruby colour lasting beige head. Big fruity imperial ipa aroma. Grapefruit and strawberry jam aroma. I thought this was decent enough. Some dryness. Some booze on the finish. Some strawberry jam and grapefruit in the mouth. Alcohol aroma. Bit of a sipper but good enough. Made me smile. Very dry on the finish.
