Dry mead brewed with bog myrtle and 5% lingonberry juice. The northerly meager tastescape of a bog is introduced by the refreshing sour and bitter aromas of lingonberry and myrtle. On tongue they pick up some residual sweetness from honey that enriches the bittersweet bog myrtle experience, with a sparky dry lingonberry finish.

Can. Color: Clear pale golden, very thin white head. Aroma: Honey, fruity. Taste: Honey, fruity notes of berries and forest fruits. Sparkling carbonation. Bit watery, mineral water. Floral (heather) notes.Just below average body. Moderate to over moderate sweet. Drinkable but a bit disappointing, I was expecting more taste.

50cl bottle. Pours clear golden with a slightly pinkish tint and a fast dissipating white head. Herbal and fruity with lingonberries and bog myrtle is dominating the aroma. Moderate sweet with nice bog/forest flavours and a pleasant acidity. Rather refreshing and certainly less sweet than expected. Feels a bit thin, but quite refreshing and enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Purva Medus (Bog Honey) on 03 Sep 2020 at 18:29 - Score: 7

RB backlog, Bevog Festival 2018. Berries, hints of honey, floral. Nice, almost dry start and a hint of bitterness and booze. Slick, slender body with soft carbonation. First Mead, felt a lot different than expected! Good and fruity.

Aaand I have neew source of rare beers... Smell- honey, smoke, berries, roast, candy, nice, pleasant. Foam- thin, watery, spicy, honey, berry, juice, some sourness. Small active wite head what instantly disappears, bit like sprite or something. Appearance- No carbonation, pink water, hazy, looks bit like some juice. Taste- watered down cranberry, some honey, some sourness, some sweetness. It does taste like bog, interesting combination but not in a good way, dont like it. It tastes good when you sip it, but aftertaste kills it.
