330 ml bottle, from the brewery. Batch #0054. ABV is 5.3%, 28 IBU. Very dark brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of medium roast malts, notes of wood. Medium dry flavour of medium roast malts, roast nuts and wood. Not bad, just another 13 in a dozen brown ale. I heard no bells chime.

Flaske 330ml på Blå Rock. Svart med et lite rødskjær. Middels skum. Veldig beskjeden aroma. Litt røstet malt & karamell. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken diffus. Spor av krydder.

330ml bottle, Lot # 046, at Blå Rock Café. A clear rosewood coloured body. Creamy, fawn-coloured head, some of it remaining. Clingy lacing. Earth, bread, and brown malty nose. Blended taste profile of brown malts, raisin, dough and leafy hops, lightly spiced. Mid roasted finish. Medium bodied. Food friendly. Likable (Tromsø 11.06.2015).

Bottle at home. Is deep nut brown color, and is fairly clear. Slightly beige foam formed on top. Its aroma is emerging as a blend of roasted and sweet malt, and has many layers where one attending hazelnuts, chocolate truffles, rye bread, soy sauce, brown sugar and raisins. The taste is just as exciting with more roasted and dried fruit, and in the background is a nice malt sweetness. Mouth feel is smooth and silky, and the bitterness is low. The beer surprises me a little, and I am fascinated by how complex it manages to appear to be a relatively light beer in English traditional style. The balance of the beer between roastedness and sweetness comes through aroma and taste.

29.05.2015, 0,33l bottle shared with Palme @ Café Sara:
Soft gusher. Small slightly fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, grain, caramel, old smoke, hay, chocolate, nuts, toast, weeds, hints of lactose. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, toast, roasted grain, caramel, chocolate, grass, weeds, hay, hints of lactose. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish dry and watery mouthfeel. Kind of boring.
