A hand-pulled brown ale, absolutely packed with malt flavour. Back Street Heroes has a characterful finish of Worcestershire grown English hops. Brewed for the bikers magazine, it truly is the “engine oil of life”.

Cask @ Kitty’s, Helsinki. Poured dark copper color. White bubbly head. Weak toffee/malty aroma. Smooth palate. Flavor is hops and malt, caramel. Ends dry, but not so bitter. Quite boring.

500ml. Low level, bubbly head on a foggy, orange-brown body. Fragile lacing on the glass. Aroma of hop resin. More resin in flavour supported by bitter caramel malts. Bitter ending (bottle from Centra Colosseum, Oslo 17.01.2008).

500ml bottle @ Cardinal. Red/brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma is a bit overripe fruit and some kind of strange hops. Flavor is sweet malty, citrus, dry fruit prunes, raisin) and bitter. Medium body. This beer is OK, but a bit unusually. A combination of fresh fruity and overripe fruit.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 4.5%. Freeminer is not mentioned on the label, only I.B.S. Ltd. Cloudy amber colour, moderate head. Aroma of fermenting fruits and vegetables - yes, there are notes of kitchen garbage, like Tarjei suggests. The flavour is yeasty and fruity, notes of rotting fruits and vegetables again, like a homebrew going bad. Dry hoppy finish. I guess they have been trying, but have not succeeded. I’m not even sure the big bad biker on the label would have been entirely happy with this brew.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Slightly nutty aroma. The body is a bit watery with a very soft mouthfeel - completely flat. Comes with sweetish, burned caramel notes while the finish is dry and short. 120507

CBF07 sample from bottle. Pours brown/amber. Aroma is sweet raisins. Flavour is very malty taking the raisin flavours deep into the malt and they disappear in a dry finish.

Bottled. Copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Caramellish malty and hoppy aroma. Caramel and malt in flavour with hoppy finish. Also some roasted hints can be found. Very pleasant.

Back Street Heroes Beer! Hazy orange brown color and big steady white head and some lace. Aroma is bit musty, slightly like rubber gloves. Bitter hops strike into your mouth. Very fullbodied and bitter with long finish. One extra point for nice label :) This beer reminds me about De Koninck Winterkoninck - this is just better.
