Een India Pale Ale (IPA) met een heerlijk bitter, fruitige en licht-kruidige smaak. 15 EBC.

Bottle at home shared thanks to Maakun. Unclear dark amber with white head. Sweet malts, caramel, light spicy yeast and hops, bit like eucalyptus, plastic, vegetal. Quite sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body, very soft malty feel. Soft carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to Secret Sinterklaas. Hazy light moer with beige head. Sweet caramel and malts, light biscuits, soft peach and lime, apple, light grapefruit. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with carbonation a bit on the fizzy side. OK.

Amberkleurig bier met heel veel stevig schuim. Smaak is apart, zeker niet als standaard IPA, met iets van cognac, rozijn en sinaasappel. Apart bier voor een IPA.

Hazy deep medium amber colour, small frothy off-white to beige head, settles quickly, good lacing. Aroma roasted malts,, caramel, brown sugar, dark bread, hint of citrus peel. Flavour medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts, caramel, light resinous touch. Malty sweetbitter finish, burnt caramel. Not a bad beer but for an IPA too sweet, too much malts and not enough hops.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, BB 09 2017 (zie fles, zet het GVD gewoon ergens op het label ipv mij een zoekplaatje te geven), 33 cl sample. Slight hazy golden to amber color, big rocky head. Aroma of big bubblegummy Brett. Also in flavor lots of sweet bubblegummy Brett, slight bitter. Dont know how they did it, but they just made an Orval. I love it, but I doubt it was intended. So, as it has some minor flaws for an Orval, it could score a 4.5, but as it was intended differently, another 1.5 point off.

Amber colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have floral hop and full malty taste. Very full flavoured and moorish.

Bottle @ home. Clear amber color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, light distant hops but not too fresh it seems. Taste malts, again distant sweetish hops, moderately bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm I liked their beers so far, the traditional styles are quite well done but this IPA is not very good.

Very thick, dense and huge cream-coloured head over reddish amber beer, veiled. Sweetish nose with caramel, rosewater, fruity, orange(peel). Bitterish-sweet; again rosewater, citruspeel, grapefruit and a hint at lemon. Medium bodied, hopoil-slick; long bitterish aftertaste, resiny. Bit sweet for an IPA. Far from bad, but with an IPA, I always expect fireworks.
