Tap at Kaunas railroad station bar. Pretty neutral, which is a nice thing in a macro. Thin body, medium carbonation. Medium bittefness, light sweetness, light honeyish maltiness, vague grassy hops. Pretty easy drinking. Good for a macro, clean.

Bottle from unrecalled source (catching up on historic ratings of Lithuanian beer). Poured golden with a big white head. Aroma of sweet malt, corn, with touch of citrus. Quite sweet, texture is thin, dry bitterness to finish.

500ml can, kindly shared by djoeye. Firm, chalk white lager head. Near-clear, pale golden body. Aroma of hard water with grassy notes. Mid-sweet taste of sweet grain and grass. Short-lived ending. Soft carbonated. Rather tasteless, but inoffensive (Tromsø 17.01.2014).

Golden can (500ml): best before 7 Apr 2013, poured into a bulbous ’Palm’ tulip at home on 1 Mar 2013. The can has golden foil over the opening end: almost posh looking! My can clearly states (not in English) that it is brewed by the ’Volsas Engelman’ company, not Ragutis. Usual lager/pilsner looks: pale gold, bright, clean and clear. Typical thin, none staying head of wispy white bubbles too. No real aroma to talk about: some damp cardboard with hop implants, otherwise nothing. The taste had a sweet, mildly malty front and middle, with a mini hop bitterness towards the end: nicely balanced but with little flavour or character to set it apart. The finish goes back towards the sweeter end of the flavours as the mouth dries, so not a hop laden brew at all. Body depth about right for the strength, a summer drink I’d have again.

Bottled. A pale yellow beer with a white head. Similar to the other Lithuania pale lagers. Nothing special.

Bottle, 5.0%. Clear and shiny yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly grainy and slightly citric. Slightly a lot of things, but quite clean. Medium bitterness. Standard macro.
