Deze krachtige tripel kleurt goudblond in het glas. Het bier heeft een uitgesproken hoppige bitterheid met bloemige toetsen, een bittere afdronk en een getemperd zoetje. Een karaktervol abdijbier. 7,5% vol.

From 33 cl bottle, shared, small sample. Hazy golden blonde color. White head. Aroma’s: sweet, candy sugar, sweet fruit. Retronasal there’s herbs, sweetness, fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, herbal, light bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes herbal spicy, light bitter. OK.

Commissioned Dutch tripel now made in Belgium. Medium thick, lacing, off-white head over a hazy golden blonde beer. Aroma of any generic Belgian tripel: banana, peach, cooked cauliflower, orange peel, raspberry, toast, grass and plastic. Sweetish estery onset, banana, peach, red apple, soft honeyish and lightly bready malt sweetishness, bit yeasty, mild grassy hop bitterishness in the finish, but some plastic-like phenols and a gin-like alcohol impression as well. Old-fashioned and very stereotypical abbey tripel.

Medium, fast gone just off-white head over faintly veiled orange-golden beer. Rather alcoholic nose. Some indistinct spice hovering. Not very remarkable. Rather bitterish-spicy tripel. Some spices, not definable, and yeast notes. Not really distinctive, but nice all the same. Alcohol obvious in a slight sweet backthroat flavour and warmth. Medium bodied at best, bit still; very slight slickness. Too neutral, too indistinctive to be great.

Hazy matte auburn colour, good fluffy tan head, collapses gradually, nice lacing. Aroma roasted malt, hint of fruit syrup, brown sugar, caramel, hint of liquorice, herbal. Taste medium sweet, roasty, slightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation, bittersweet finish.
