Fles gedeeld door Keukenman, thuis geprobeerd met kerst. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, koffie en rook. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, koffie en gember.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours very dark brown with a creamy dark tan head that persisted. Aroma of cinnamon and ginger with a little roast. Med body. Not dry, but not all that sweet. Spice for bitterness. Lots of cinnamon and ginger. Some coffee. Excellent flavor for a "spiced" ale.

Small pour at Hardywood, West Creek, 11/2/24. Dark brown, beige lace, fairly strong. Gingerbread, coffee, and some spice. Rather sweet.

Pint can - slick mouthfeel, medium body - moderate chocolate - heavy on the ginger and cinnamon - moderate earthy honey - finish of vanilla and coffee - decent.

Like eating a gingerbread person. Slight ginger, cinnamon, some vanilla, and a smidgen of coffee to round out. Low key Christmas so far. Worked out, ate, need to fold laundry. Going to a party later. Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄

Surprised I hadn't rated this. 16oz can pours a thick black with very little beige head. Nose has malt and lots of cinnamon and brown sugar, big nutmeg too. Flavor has actually of brown sugar and malt and cinnamon and nutmeg. Full, sweet finish.

16 ounce can. Opaque black color. Small creamy beige head. Roasted malt aroma hints at ginger and molasses. Flavor is roasted malt, molasses, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger and brewed coffee. Sticky mouthfeel. Resiny, bitter hop finish.

Bottle. Shiny black pour. Huge coffee nose with ginger and chocolate behind it. Sweet coffee ginger and milk flavor, vanilla. Don't know who thought to put ginger and coffee together in a stout but he should be fired. A sweet nasty mess.
