A little vinegary up front but that drops off part way through. Nice currant flavors and finishes a little dry. The Pinot noir notes round it off well.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, brown colour with small, bubbly, off-white to beige head. Vinous fruity and caramel malty, minimally woody aroma, notes of blue grapes, raisin, blackcurrant, a touch of bramble and oak. Taste is tart-ish, vinous fruity and slightly caramel malty without residual sweetness, minimally woody, hints of blue grapes, blackcurrant, some cascara, a touch of morello, oak.
Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly astringent palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation.
Vinous, relatively mild, without edges - decent.

Spannend!

Backlog. Bottle (thanks Sten). Clear dark brown color. Tiny to almost no head. Sour, sweet, herbal, balsamico vinegar in aroma and in taste. A lot going on in here. Mellow and smooth. Very solid brew.

Bottle. Hazy ruby color with white head. Aroma is wood, tobacco, maltose, quite subtle. Taste is oak, wood, surprisingly dry, just a tiny bit of sourness. Full-bodied, great stuff.

Bottle, thanks Sten. Pour reddish amber, not much foam there. Vinegar in the nose, somewhat musty, red currant or cranberry juice. Taste has dry red currants, vinegar, balsamico, good balance there. Very satisfying, it also helps that I really like this style. Musty red currant marmalade, leading to a tart and somewhat acidic finish. I do enjoy this.
