473ml can. Pours a crystal clear gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Faint aroma of grainy malt and corn. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, corn and grass in a crisp, clean finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Take Back the High Life? I wonder if they mean you need to get High in order to enjoy this?

Can, pours a piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma is nonexistent, with cheap adjuncts. Flavour is at least clean, with cheap adjuncts, straw and corn. Lame stuff.

Pours a crystal clear gold color with a white head and very good retention. Very good lacing too. Almost no aroma. Sweet and lightly grainy lager flavor. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Classic American beer for the first beer of the decade. Happy New Year!

[An attractive 12oz glass bottle, bought at Albertson's, Fullerton, CA.] A bright straw coloured pour with a tight white head; disgusting aroma - like a cat being sick in a bowl of cornflakes; sweet, watery and tasteless in the mouth. Presumably drinkable when chilled to within an inch of its life - but otherwise not.

Pale yellow with heavy fizz. Has a slightly different American lager taste than other mass market lagers. Corn tase with bitter aftertaste. Just a little off.

Pale golden with a white head - Hints of malts in the aroma - Malt body with hardly any bitterness - Thin malt finish - This was boring

Clear, watery yellow colored, medium- white head. Light malt, lots of corn, some grain, light grassy bitterness, hay. Light bodied, soft carbonation, too watery. Bland and watery...

12oz can. Drank from can. Peach, synthetic white grape, bit of grain, big hit of generic fruity candy. Not much body. The fruitiness is not a pleasant one, but it hides any of the usual lager flaws and makes this somewhat drinkable. Not convinced by the champagne comparison though.
