Tap @ Nøgne Ø. Unclear golden body with a small white head. Strong and distinct smoked aroma, still not too overwhelming smoked meat and peat as sometimes found in Stjørdalsmalt. The flavor is milder smoked than expected from aroma and pretty well integrated with the fruity Kveik. It’s really tasty, but amazingly well balanced between the smoke and the fruit. Mild farmhouse with a little grassy bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Just love it.

Bottled 330ml (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes)
Golden colour, medium-sized white head. Very intensive smoke aroma, not much else, some tar. Medium to light-bodied. Some sweetish maltyness, smoke is less prominent in the flavour. Mellow finish. Okey.

On tap at Nødingen, Zwanze Day. It pours an unclear orange colored body under a finger-thick off-white head. The aroma has smoked malts, well, smoke actually, some bready hints, citrus, orange mostly, some juniper and a light funky touch. The smoke is of the smoked meat kind, with just a hint of bonfire smoke. It's full to medium bodied, a bit low on carbonation, with a distinct smoked flavor along with the orangey citrus and juniper. The funky touch is present in the flavor too, in the form of leather and some barnyard. Long smoke driven finish. Both interesting and nice this one, but I suspect it might be a beer best suited for small servings. 180929

330ml bottle, batch 2021, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Huge, creamy white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass, hazed dark orange coloured body. Nice peaty nose, hints of fruity yeast. Taste of of peated malts, juniper and kveik. Ends peaty and fruity. Fine bodied. Quite enjoying. (Tromsø 26.01.2019).
