Bottle from Gulating. Clear, dark brown body with a small, fast diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of smooth roasted dark malt, some coffee and some dark chocolate. Taste is mild roasted dark malt, rather much dark chocolate, hint of coffee and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Drinkable stout of grocery shop alcohol, smooth with no sharp edges, still it feels a bit plain with a lack of depth.

0,33 flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, hjemme: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Røstet malt, bitre sjokolader og kaffe. Tørr avslutning, og det skjer ikke så mye underveis.

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Dissipating beige head, coal black body, minimal lacing. Restrained aromas of liquorice and dough. Flavoured with coffee notes and liquorice. Roasted ending notes. Flat in the mouth. Accepted. (Tromsø 11.08.2018).

From bottle at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø, 20.10.17. Very dark brown. Alomst no head and no lacing. Aroma and taste of medium dark malt, roasted malt amd cold coffee. Under par. Flat.

330 ml black bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, small beige head of poor retention. Aroma of roast malts and cold coffee. Modest carbonation. Dry flavour, notes of roast malts and coffee, one-dimensional.
