Cooling out on the dock, jamming tunes and popping tops, waiting for da rod to bend. Gist of the grist is mellow at 4.20% ABV, laying down the base to showcase the blazin’ Amarillo hop hash sunset.
The star of the show here is the hops, specifically the hop hash! We kept the malt bill light to allow the hops to shine through.
We does this sucker with a boatload of Amarillo Hop Hash. Pungent with floral, tropical citrus fruit flavors and the hop hash gives it that one of a kind chewy, gooey, resiny mouthfeel. As the chaser, we are giving it a hefty dry hop to enhance the potent aromas. Ahtanum gives it orange and grapefruit tones, Crystal for a little kick of spiciness, and El Dorado bringing some pear and watermelon characteristics.

Bottle. I know I’ve said this before, but I really like Session IPAs. There just not knock you on your tale high gravity and there not slap you in the face bitter. This one is gold with light cloudiness and a really nice head. Aroma is a citrusy topical smell. Taste is lightly sweet up front, good balance in the middle with a slight hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, grapefruit, orange, light grainy, and a touch of pine. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter with a dry-ish finish. Body is light to medium. A fine Sessionable IPA with a nice fruity hoppy aroma.

An acquisition made today at the closest HEB. A session IPA, hardly the way to extensive acceptance, just saying. But I will accept this for my own end-of-the-session brew. The New Belgium snifter gladly takes on the PBR-yellow body with a totally white head. The smell is surprisingly dank with mowed grass and clear water. And the taste then is along those lines, fresh reefer, lemon, hops, cut hay and blue sky. Better than expected.

Pours a lovely clearish amber, lots of initial head. Aroma is fresh, citrus fruit, pine. Light body. Flavour is malty, watery, pine, light earthy hops, grapefruit, lemon. Nice, Drinkable but a bit thin.

Licht zoete fanta, zacht bitter. Easy ipa idd, beetje tussen een hedendaagse neipa en een ouwestijl session ipa in

Can. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, hops, citrus fruits, and malt, leading to a biter finish.
