250ml draught at the brewpub. Fawn-coloured patchy head leaving artwork on the glass. Pitch black body. Dark chocolate malty nose, lightly roasted. Rich of taste with grainy chocolate and coffee, woody. Subdued bourbon towards a smoothly roasted malty finish. Well bodied. Enjoying sipper. (Good drinking ambiance at the taproom with cool live jazz music. Shared with Ellen, Trondheim 14.09.2019).

Dark brown. olmost black with a small brown head - Dark malt aroma with some dark fruity tones - Dark malt body with some hints of fruit and nice wood with bourbon - The malt and wood bourbon flavours goes into the finish - This was good

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild sour-ish oaky, mild bourbon, oak, hay, toast, dark malts, chocolate, roasted grain, unripe banana, old rope, bloodlike minerals. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, weeds, oak, hay, roasted grain, mild bourbon, bloodlike minerals, grass, sour coffee, burnt toast bark. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.

(Keg at Øx Tap Room, 20180612) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla and lightly liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste had vanilla, burnt malts and bitterness. A nicely done barrel aged imperial stout. Barrel effects were mild enough.
