500ml bottle, Batch # 126, bought at Vinmonopolet Hammerfest. Diminishing, noisy, tan-coloured head. A deep brownish tint to a black body, scattered lacing. Mid-sweet, earthy dark malts on the nose, slightly roasted. Smooth chocolate taste joined by liquorice on a lactose backbone. Brown cheese? maybe. Sweet warming, malt-driven end. Nice, just a tad too sweet in the long run. (Hotel room, Hammerfest 17.08.2019).

Svart med lavt lys brunt skum. Lukker lakris, anis, blomster. Svært søt. Melasse, noe bitter mørk sjokolade og noe floralsk i avslutningen. Oljete.

On tap at the brewpub, Kråka. A dark brown to black beer with a dense finger thick brown head. Molasses, caramel, roasted malts, brown sugar and a meaty touch in the aroma. Roasted meat that is. It's full-bodied and close to sticky on the palate, with a rather low carbonation level. Sweet flavor with roasted malts, molasses, caramel, hints of Kongen av Danmark candy, guess that's some anise seed flavor, and brown sugar. Rather sweet finish. An unusual one, but nice. Can't really say I recognize the brunost, but it probably just adds sweetness and caramel. 190222 Uvanlig men bra.

I alle dager. Stout med brunost. Kan det smake godt, og paser de sammen. Oh yeah. Det gjorde det absolutt. En veldig behagelig og fin rund brunost smak i bakgrunnen. Mye fløyelsmyk sjokolade her også. En spennende og fin opplevelse. Kan trygt anbefales.

Bottle. Unclear dark brown body with almost no head. Aroma feels sweet with malt, dry fruit, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is pretty much the same as aroma, sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit and toffee. Fine balanced body and OK aftertaste. Just like any other average brown cheese stout :-) Don’t know really what to expect, but fun to sample.

KØLF 210417. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, malt, chocolate. Flavor is caramel, coffee, alcohol, cocos or brown cheese, nuts. A little bit weird, but still a nice one.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 06.05.17. Ebony. Fizzy as coca-cola when pouring. Head is diminishing to nothing exceptionally fast. Unappealing aroma of shoepolish and rotting carrots. Similarly bad taste. An utterly sheit stout and a clear pour-out. Awful, just awful.

Black with no head - malt with some hints of roasted malt in the aroma - Malt body with hints of bitterness - The malt goes into a short finish - This was ok

19.02.2017, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Tiny fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish mineraly, weeds, yeast, minerals, dark malts, bark, sweaty cheese, sour grass, lactose, alcohol. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, yeast, dark malts, sweaty cheese, bark, lactose, sour grass, burnt brown cheese, alcohol. Medium bitterness, sour-ish harsh mineraly mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Meh, just weird!
