Bottle. Almost clear amber body under a small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, alcohol and acid. Quite strong in taste, sweet malt, caramel and dry fruit in balance with lemon, balsamic vinegar, wood and some red wine notes. Fine body and long lasting acidic aftertaste. Not particular elegant really, but sure tasty and interesting as an ‘in the face’ experience.

KØLF 271120. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aromais sourness, spices, caramel, bourbon. Flavor is sourness, alcohol, spices, caramel, dried fruits, cellar, bourbon. Nice beer.

Bottle. An unclear chestnut colored beer with a small beige head. Berry-ish aroma with dried fruits, bread crust and a cellar touch. Spiced hints and alcohol too. It’s full-bodied, warming and tart on the palate, killing the tip of the tongue, and softly carbonated. Vinegar, oak, dried fruits, berries, bread crust and cellar, along with a touch of grapefruit zest. Lasting finish. Sure an intense one, too intense I think. 201127

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 10%. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of red wine, oak and bourbon, hints of balsamic vinegar. Very sour flavour, too sour for me, really - balsamic vinegar galore. Notes of red wine, oak and bourbon again, hints of lemons.

Deep red with a minimal head. Aroma of red berries and prunes. Lots of sour flavours with a good red berries ending. Not my style, but not bad

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Covering beige head, dark rosewood coloured body, poor lacing. Cherries on the nose added by mid-sweet malty sweetness. Blemded taste of prunes, cherries and chocolate, a careful bourbon touch beneath. Yeasty fruitiness to a tart and sweet ending. Well bodied. Decent sipper. (Tromsø 03.01.2019).

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dried fruits, coconuts, licorice, umami. Tastes slightly sour with some sweetness, hints of salt and little bitterness. Medium bodied, some alcoholic warmth. Very nicely balanced.
