In rememberance of all the GI’s that invaded the Torcross shores and the locals that were relocated in rehersal for the D-Day landings, under the codename Operation Tiger - a beer that flies the flag for freedom, liberty and big tastes of course!
Overflowing with a combination of American hops, the boyd and South Hams Brewery have created this explosively exuberant beer - a veritable Sherman Tank in a bottle.

Cask @ South Hams Taphouse, near Torcross. Darker golden with a thick head. Its strength is noticeable but has a very clean texture. There’s some fruitiness and it comes across as a pretty good IPA.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 30 June 2022. Deep golden in colour, with a thin, white, head that left plenty of lacing down the glass.Tangerine and red berry character, citrus hops, digestive malts, a touch of white pepper and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Hand-pulled cask pint in The Imperial (a Wetherspoon's in Exeter) on 28th Sep 2019. Golden/amber body, white crown. Resinous hop nose and initial taste, semi-sweet malty base, some citrus notes come late. Liked it.

Bottle at home, 03/07/18. Lightly hazed golden with a decent white cap. Nose is lemon tinged straw, tangerine, airy malts, grass, light breads. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, citric tinged straw, light breads, grass, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced but slightly restrained hop bitterness. Ok pale but could do with a hop injection.

Bottle from the brewer's own stall at the Dartmouth Food Festival. Yellowy-gold with a pleasant frothy fizz and a thin white head. Big sweet lemon flavour with a decent malt background and a resinous mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness at the end. In all honesty there may be a touch too much sweetness and the alcohol does show a bit, but I do love the big punchy lemon flavour and enjoyed it for that. Tasty, and a bit different. Nice one.
