500ml bottle, as Spesial ale batch 100, bought at Gulating, Tromsø. Dissipating beige head, clingy lacing, close to clear amber. Discreet herbal hops and earthy malts on the nose. Mixed taste character of apricot and caramel malts followed by leafy hops towards the ending. Rounded mouth feel. Fine with our chicken pie (Tromsø 22.01.2017).

On tap at the brewpub. A quite pale golden beer, topped by a white head. Some pale malts, a floral, grassy and faintly citrusy touch and some biscuit in the aroma. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, which besides that has more or less the same elements found in the aroma. Hop forward, but far from pushing. Mediu to full body and a nice carbonation level. Bitter, fruity finish with some grains in the back. A decent one, but not very APA in style. 140624

Pours clear golden with a white white head. Aroma has notes of malt and floral and some strange fruitiness. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a dry finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
