Location: Sampled at Living Social Beerfest, 12/6/13
Aroma: The nose is light and simple, malty notes, grass, not much else
Appearance: It pours a clear yellow color with an average sized white head
Flavor: Flavor is along the same line, with a light malt sweetness and a light grassy bitterness
Palate: The body is light, it drinks easily, almost boarding on watery, not crisp enough for the style
Overall Impression: A pretty unexciting example of a pils. Not a terrible beer, but lacking the fresh, crisp, clean feel that I look for in the style. Fine.

It was mildly bitter and featured some hefe style flavors. It was also very smooth and creamy for a pilsener with a nice crispness. Test of 29.04.2005.
Earlier Rating: 4/8/2012 Total Score: 2.8
Clear yellow color. Smell of corn, malt and hops. Taste of malt, skunk, hops, bread and corn.

Enjoyed on tap with a co-worker at Bierkrug in Heidelberg, Germany. This one was just OK, I was looking for a Franciskaner and was given this by the bartender who just poured it for us as I think it was the only beer they had on tap that night. Appearance a clear gold with a rich white head. Aroma mostly of malt and lager yeast. Taste mostly of malt and lager yeast. It went down pretty nicely, not my favorite brew of the evening but not bad.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Moderately sweet and mildly grainy aroma with shy hint of hops. Sweet and faint bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Subtle grainy malty taste with a tinge of cardboard; quite dry and slightly malty and hop bitter finish. Inoffensive, thus boring brew. 03.I.10

bottle. Clear yellow colour, mid-sized quickly disappearing white head. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied with a shy malty base and resiny/grassy hops that add quite some bitterness. Quite nice, actually.

Apperance, light clear pilsner with a small white head. Not too much aroma, but a sence of malt if something. The taste is ok but not too much taste.
