WILD BIER MET GRUIT
Weder is gebrouwen met zelfgeplukte gagel, bijvoet en duizendblad in plaats van hop. In dit bier is bijvoet het belangrijkste bittermakende ingrediënt, terwijl duizendblad en gagel een warme kruidigheid geven die doet denken aan eucalyptus en honingbloem.
Weder is vergist met kveik, een traditionele Noorse gist die fruitige aroma’s van ananas en citrus produceert en een mooie volle body geeft. De complexe, zure smaken in combinatie met de medicinale, kruidige tonen zorgen voor een zeer verrassend en uitdagend bier.

Large bottle as a gift from friends. Quite herbal aroma with tart fruits, lemon, gale, and various other herbs. Flavour is tart and nicely puckering sour. Body is light. Refreshing and citrussy with lots of herbs, but curiously not overpowering because of the puckering sourness. I dig it.

Bottle, directly from Nevel webshop. Batch 2, 2024. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Herbal, malty, some tartness. Taste: Herbal, floral, malty, moderate tartness and light sweetness. Mugwort and gale. Light, herbal bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nice refreshing typical Nevel beer.

Bottle at Walhalla in Amsterdam. Golden color pretty clear, no foam. Nose: sweet grape, wild strawberry, berries. So sweet and forest. Mouth: tart blackberries, seeds of berries, frizzy aftertaste and bitter a bit.

Bottle 75cl. from and with Pieter & Wouter, thanks lads! Cloudy pale to medium golden colour, small fizzy off-white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma brett, herbs and herbal resin (gale, myrtle, mugwort), light citrus, hay. Flavour mild sour, light sweet and bitter, brett, herbal resin, light citrusy. Bottle at first THT 2019. Cloudy yellow with very short lasting white head. Lemon, strong herbs and flowers, aniseed, green leaves, lots of lemon, bark. Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Gialla acida, opalescente, schiuma bianca stentata, non molto persistente. Al naso note citriche, agrumate, erbacee, di stalla, cuoio. In bocca è fresca, acida media, delicata e aggraziata. Corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione media. Gradevolissima, ma forse le manca un po' di carattere.
