WILD BIER MET GRUIT
Weder is gebrouwen met zelfgeplukte gagel, bijvoet en duizendblad in plaats van hop. In dit bier is bijvoet het belangrijkste bittermakende ingrediënt, terwijl duizendblad en gagel een warme kruidigheid geven die doet denken aan eucalyptus en honingbloem.
Weder is vergist met kveik, een traditionele Noorse gist die fruitige aroma’s van ananas en citrus produceert en een mooie volle body geeft. De complexe, zure smaken in combinatie met de medicinale, kruidige tonen zorgen voor een zeer verrassend en uitdagend bier.

Bottle from de Bierliefhebber, batch #01 bottled Nov 17, best consumed within 2 years. Slight hazy golden color, short lacing. Aroma of tart lemon and funky yeast, flowery of gruit. Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Rubin77. 750 ml. bottle sampled @ LIBF 2017. Golden citrus. Nose is lemon, soap, very acidic, lemon, spice. Pretty cloudy bright yellow beer, no head. Aroma: very acidic, lemony, weird, funky, some yoghurt, spicy, herbal. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sour and funky start, lots of lemon juice, bit soapy, some vinegar. Aftertaste: dry, acidic, bit herbal, not bad!

On tap at 'Braukunstwerk'. Very hazy, yellow with a thin, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, rather herbal-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of lemon zest, rhubarb, hay and herbs. Quite sour, rather herbal-spicy and quite fruity taste of rhubarb, lemon, lots of herbs and hay, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, dry and herbal-spicy finish. Medium body, quite astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tap sample at Uiltje Bar. Opaque yellow colour, thin white head. Aroma of loads of herbs, mostly gale, lemon, light tartness. Draft at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Cloudy dull golden with no head. Aroma of herbs, tart light fruits, citrus and lactic notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy sour.
