Canned (from Vinmonopolet, drank at Vuotson Maja B&B). Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown colour. Aroma is yeasty, some chocolate, mild tart edge with some slight earthy notes. Flavour is very hopped, some roasted malts, tart edge, coffee and a bit harsh elements to it. Not my kind of impy.

330 ml can, batch #12, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 10%. Black colour, large chocolate brown head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, old woodwork, liquorice and coffee. Smooth and rich mouthfeel. The flavour has distinct roast malts and bittering hops, also strong coffee, liquorice and dark bitter chocolate. Impressive.

Opaque colour, nice brownish head. Aroma is roasted, heavy, ashy. Medium-bodied. Roasted, ashy, licorice, very dark with alcohol and bitterness. This is kind of light version of Mikkeller Black.

Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. An unclear brown beer with a small beige head. The aroma has lots of caramel, some dried fruits and cocoa too. It's full bodied and warming, with a pleasant carbonation level. Caramel, dried fruits, brown sugar and some dark chocolate in the flavor. Lasting finish. Sure nice. 201128

Can. Dark brown body with a small beige head. Nica aroma of dark roasted malt. Taste is sweet, roasted, dark malt, coffee, chocolate and pleasant hoppy bitterness. Fina body and long-lasting aftertaste. Nice and solid classic Imp. Stout.
