Bottle. Medium brown with a really big, bubbly head and a lot of lace. Aroma is caramel with a touch of skunk. Taste is roasted grains, caramel, candy corn.notes of bread. Sweet upfront, slightly skunky finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, cardboard, bread. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Body is light to medium. Drinkable but very, very dull Dunkel.

Gemischtporige, stabile Schaumkrone, klare haselnussbraune Farbe, in der Nase nicht allzu intensiv, vor allem malzig mit Röstaromen, im Geschmack dafür ziemlich aromatisch, dunkelmalzig, Röstaromen, dezente Süße, präsente Hopfenbittere, schlanker Körper.

Roasted malt, some banana peel, citrus, rye. Malty sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, mild dry roasty malty finish. More an Amber Lager than Dunkel, but decent, and again a light Dunkel that lacks in body.

330ml bottle. Clear amber-brown, small off white head, some scattering on top. Doughy malts, caramel. Taste is slightly thin, a touch nutty. A bit average.

gefunden in einem ALDI-Supermarkt, der im Gegensatz zu anderen Supermärkten im Bahnhofsviertel nicht komplett ranzig war. Es ist ein Dunkles der süßen Sorte 🧁 mit einem vollen Körper, aber sonst eher einfachen Aromen, weshalb es schnell fad wird. Kann man schon trinken, geht aber stark in die Richtung Industrieeinheitszeug.

Got this cheap flip top bottle from Hawthorn Bottle. Pretty cheap for a flip top import. Clear darker beer, like darker iced tea. Very good initial nose makes me want to swig this stuff right from the bottle. Dark lager dunkel is one of my fave styles and this does not dissapoint. Its friendly, its fun, its easy, its civilized; just like a friendly dark beer should be. Very tasty without any hot alky content. I think the very first Iron City dark I had on tap at a local bar, way back in 1983, tasted just like this. This is very good satisfying beer, with very good carbonation, and I'm all for it.
